Shotts History Group

Welcome to Shotts History Group DOT COM.

If you're a fan of the shottshistorygroup.co.uk website, don't worry - that is still the main website of Shotts History Group and there are no plans to change that. This site will act as a backup for the main site and be another point of contact should it ever go down, as it has in the past (like all sites can at some time or other).

DOT COM will also have its own identity with its own content, or at least differently presented content if it duplicated from the main website. It will have a very simple layout - simple and straightforward to navigate for visitors we hope, and simple to set up and maintain by the very limited webmaster! Originally this site was going to be mostly text based to keep monthly traffic overhead to a minimum and to keep it simple, but the webhosting package we got gives us a fair bit of bandwidth so we should get enough photographs to suit everyone. There are also other solutions for storing and displaying pictures on the internet.

So enjoy both sites and please get back to us with any feedback or requests.
